The political mishandling of the Dural caravan incident is a full-blown disaster for public trust in government and an unprecedented assault on the social contract.
More to come. The theory that the "master criminal"mwho organised it was motivated by a desire to gain brownie points by tipping the police off to their own plot is totally implausible. Far more likely that they were paid by a state actor.
Great article. Anyone paying attention knew all of this weeks ago, as it was broadly reported by independent journalists on Substack. As late as 2 days ago news.com.au was still drumming ujp fear over it, with no mention of it being a hoax.
Australia is, quite simply, over. It's not the same country anymore. Go back to pre-1996 Australia and it looks like a paradise: for both our freedoms, our wallets, our independence, and our sanity.
Refuse to vote. Certainly refuse to vote for Labor or the LNP. I refused to even show up for the recent WA state election, I'll pay their extortionate $70. We need tens of millions of Australians to do the same. At a minimum.
How does not voting help ANYTHING? sure as shit isn't going to turn back the clock to 1996! Our literal best shot right now is getting enough independents and greens in that all legislation must go through them. A system like Germany's would not be such a bad thing, with ministers being from different parties but all working together.
People give their lives in the hope of gaining the right to vote and you just throw yours away like a brat who feels entitled to a democracy. If people don't vote, you get authoritarianism, dictatorship, tyranny.. Is that what you want?
In practice liberal democracy is a facade, nothing more. Nowhere is this more true than in Germany. When parties team up they are teaming up against the people. Again, nowhere is this demonstrated more clearly than in Germany, where quite literally every party except BSW and the AfD collude to extinguish the rights of the people and continue the unaccountable technocratic machine. Even these parties are terrible, they're just not in the ruling bloc.
We already have authoritarianism and tyranny, whether this comes through one person in a dictatorship or a multitude in a fake liberal democracy matters little, the result is the same. There is no greater goal of tyranny than fooling the people into falsely thinking they are free.
The value of refusing to vote (especially when it's compulsory) is that it deprives the tyrants of their supposed mandate. Liberty is signed away with the pen, it is not so easy to establish.
I am not strongly opposed to the route you propose: electing independents instead. My response would be: show me some worth voting for. Greens? PHON? Libertarian? KAP? UAP? Don't even get me started on Pocock. You also need to be aware that a politician deep in opposition is very different to one who comes out of this and tastes power. If anyone gets close who can't be co-opted or smeared they will just use the same playbook they're using now in Romania (do not interpret this as support for Georgescu)
Instead I would suggest withdrawing from the machine. Any and all of this to whatever degree you are personally capable: stop voting, avoid taxation, grow and create as much as you can yourself (barter or give away any surplus), publish samizdat, quit corporate work, talk to people you disagree with, help others in your local circle, withdraw investments from regulated forms, use the grey and black markets instead of the taxed one, and protest frequently. You might notice that this is not left or right at all.
This starves the machine of legitimacy, financing, and the hatred for your fellow man it needs you to feel. The sheep spends it's whole life fearing the wolf, only be eaten by the shepherd.
Australia never was a democracy. One corrupt media owner controls 75% of all newsprint while ABC and SBS churn out Zionist propaganda. Now with rampant political repression even the thin veneer of democracy is gone. Australian apathetic sheeple need to wake up.The whole political system is now rotten and compromised
What even is a democracy? Certainly the Greeks would have identified our system with oligarchy, not democracy. Greek democracy worked based on lot. Our system of voting in elections was inherently identified with oligarchy and horsetrading by the Greeks, not democracy.
News media is very consolidated, but thankfully their viewership is at an all time low, and pretty much nobody has trust in the legacy media anymore. It's a vanishing selection of Boomers who still have any time for the legacy media, and as they die out or wake up it's unclear who the media is even going to be talking to anymore, other than themselves.
Their only function now is to set the "mainstream view", and to drum up support for perpetual war abroad and perpetual emergency powers at home.
I do think people are slowly waking up. It's hard to dive into the deep end suddenly. Most people don't know what to do if they can't trust the media as gospel. Inculcating the skills needed to think critically, research, and make up your own mind is crucial.
Only 11 Aus parliamentarians voted against criminalising ‘hate’ speech to oppress Australians criticising Israel. The rest got caught up in the hysteria, lacked courage and frankly lacked common sense, while the police delayed communicating critical information to the public in order to gather enough evidence to make arrests.
These sell out corrupt politicians like Minns are basically foreign agents and working for Zionist masters in undermining Australian social cohesion and basic freedoms including free speech and human rights. They arrogance is beyond belief as they are trampling an already fraying Australian democracy with impunity. Now even the UN has condemned Zionist crimes against the Palestinians , but not a word of condemnation from Australian government. This complicity is appalling and shows how strong Zionist control over the politicians and media is. Totally unacceptable by any standard.
Yes this was part of the joint political plan to strengthen laws against freedom of speech and free thinking. Control the masses keep them stupid. Both sides of politics are completely entrenched in this.
This interview with Prof Glenn Diesen centres mainly on propaganda relating to the Russia-War, but the methods are much the same. He gives an outline of his three books and the theory behind propaganda (aka public relations).
The greatest irony in this saga is that the Failing Telegraph broke this story so soon after its own sordid (and incompetent) attempt to manufacture and anti-Semitic incident at a Sydney cafe. Another irony is that James Patterson - an IPA drone who exudes arrogance despite a total absence of any noteworthy talents or accomplishments - should be accusing anyone of failing at their job.
I’m afraid I don’t share your optimism that anyone will be held to account. The political class and media all act with impunity these days, barely bothering to acknowledge the notions of Truth and Facts. The voices that do attempt to shed light on the incompetence and corruption are worthy but few and lack the resources of the oppressors.
Ruling elites are always self-serving, so observing their craven subservience to the US Empire and Zionism shows where their rewards come from.

The Greens are emphatic supporters of tyranny and authoritarianism, albeit on some issues they are better than the rest (as is the case with all parties). Just go to their platform: https://greens.org.au/vic/campaigns/stamp-out-hate-speech-victoria

Interesting narrative, thanks for sharing.
In regard to political support, I recommend the Australian Citizens Party, of which I'm a member; https://citizensparty.org.au/

Independent or Green in Dandenong at a minimum!
Thanks Joel, great writing.
