Caravan of cowards
The political mishandling of the Dural caravan incident is a full-blown disaster for public trust in government and an unprecedented assault on the social contract.

The Australian Federal Police have announced that an explosive laden caravan in Dural, NSW was not an antisemitic terror plan, but a fabricated terrorist plot with ties to domestic and offshore organised crime. The incident escalated into a sensational national issue, with claims that the caravan was intended to attack the Jewish community. State and federal politicians, along with the media—either privy to or willfully ignorant of evidence suggesting it was a hoax—irresponsibly labeled it an antisemitic terrorist plot
The incident has become a national scandal: a false terror plot fueled by politically motivated major-party politicians unwilling to face reality, an opportunistic press interfering with critical criminal investigations on behalf of a foreign actor’s interests, and a coordinated effort to breathe life into one of Australia’s greatest con jobs. This national scandal has ultimately altered laws and disrupted the resting state of our peaceful, secular nation for rationales that have since been debunked.
On the initial discovery of the caravan, as things immediately seemed a bit off, and the authorities were scratching their head, the major political class instantly jostled to be seen making a statement. Covered in blind spots, obstructions to his line of sight, and issues with the fog on his rose coloured glasses, NSW Premier Chris Minns reached over with subjective clarity in the blind of a serious ongoing investigation, “there’s only one way of calling it out and that is terrorism”. At the federal level, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese joined the Premier in calling the caravan incident an act of terror, Federal Treasurer Jim Chalmers called the “chilling” incident “a potential mass casualty event”, and one by one the incident was condemned as an act of antisemitic terror by politicians, pundits and public figures alike.
Supported by a flood of pro-Israel press in a state of suspended animation, the Coalition took the lead. Opposition Leader Peter Dutton—a vocal advocate for the State of Israel, yet underwhelming on his domestic platform in an election year—cited the caravan as evidence of 'an insidious rise in unchecked antisemitism.' Shadow Home Affairs Minister James Paterson blamed the discovery of the explosive riddled caravan on incompetence by the Albanese government for failing to confront the rising tide of antisemitism in our country, calling the incident “an incredibly disturbing development in an escalating domestic terrorism crisis”. And a wave of hysteria swelled up before being pushed forward by irresponsible Labor and Coalition MPs, hyperactive state Premiers, and a gnashing media apparatus that can’t remember what it looked like prior to October 7, 2023.
In what will go down in infamy as one of the most alarming examples of public misinformation and deliberate social unrest being sowed by Australian leaders in the country’s history, it was the ‘Daily Telegraph’ that leaked the story, forcing authorities to go public, before it proceeded to pump out hot trash with articles that alluded to an antisemitic terror plot. The media carrion birds circled over the hollowed out carcass of Australian integrity, whipping up the ground as they descended, flicking bull-dust into the parched mouths of an information deprived Australian public dying of thirst. The entire flock of concentrated Australian media irresponsibly presented a version of the ‘Daily Telegraph leak’, including the national broadcaster at the ABC.
Only weeks after the Dural incident, amid the uncertainty and scrutiny of police, with the media in unison on rampant antisemitism in Australian society, and the federal opposition using the incident to argue for stronger national security measures, Premier Chris Minns used the caravan to announce that his government would be pushing its hate speech laws through NSW Parliament. The Premier referenced the caravan among “a rising number of incidents” that several of which have now also been attributed to ‘foreign actors’, as rationale for the harsh legislative measures.
In retrospect, something was always off with the caravan of chaos in Dural. Its discovery was coming at a time when a number of previous high profile antisemitic attacks were revealed top be the work of ‘foreign actors’ using hired criminals from the dark web to commit antisemitic attacks, and a critical mass of information and narrative about all things antisemitism in media and politics was being openly challenged by the public. The oddly placed caravan was also coming at a time that Israel was heavily losing the PR battle over its actions in Gaza, compounded with accusations of genocide, ICJ & ICC rulings, UN resolutions, economic boycotts, and a global pariah status.
There was a successful bipartisan effort to legislate away vital public freedoms based on false flag attacks carried out by ‘foreign actors’. In the wake of these disturbances to our public harmony, people are being prosecuted under these new Draconian laws for being critical of Zionism, and the caravan of cowards that line up to tell us it was a hoax, do so without any real accountability, or acknowledgement of what they have used them for. If the attacks were 'fabricated', does that mean that the harsh and anti-humanitarian legislation that was rushed through with minimal due diligence or concern 'fabricated’, too?
The same outlets that leaked and exaggerated the caravan’s nature, inflaming the country’s social fabric in unprecedented ways, quietly published meek articles along the lines of 'we were duped.'. Chris Minns seemed fairly nonchalant as he backtracked on the situation at a press conference in the aftermath, claiming he didn’t mislead the public about the caravan being a “mass casualty event’ and excusing himself rather weakly under the vague banner of “complexity’. NSW Police Minister Yasmin Catley was callous, defiantly muttering that, despite antisemitism being ruled out in several Strike Force Pearl investigations, the rushed hate speech legislation remained necessary.
Federally, despite appearing his government has been unable to responsibly manage this national problem, Anthony Albanese condemned Dutton and his cohort of Paterson-like agitators, for inhibiting police from “doing their job” and choosing not to avoid getting briefed from the AFP on the matter. On the other side, Peter Dutton chose to blame Labor, mouth breathing and paving over his unforgivable attempt to destabilise the country for political gain among a cloud of foreign linked fake terror attacks, mumbling semblance of word-matter that there wasn’t any suggestion it was a “semblance of a hoax”. And with the embarrassing retractions, and the insufficient reasoning for leading this country around a burning fake-antisemitic mulberry bush for a couple of month, the Australian political class, perhaps the most impervious to; extreme forms of embarrassment, scandal or incompetence in the OECD - shamelessly went back to work.
The lack of courage from the Albanese government and the flip-flopping from Premier Minns, has squandered the opportunity for Labor to take the high ground on this matter, and they have subsequently lost the political capital, because they were prepared to spread a dangerous message on a whim like their Coalition colleagues. The truth is, it is a national clusterfuck involving disproportionate foreign influence, subjective agitators with media licences, registered charities with overt political loyalties to foreign entities committing unspeakable crimes, domestic and foreign criminal networks, and a cowardly political class too concerned about their personal affairs and favours owed to the powerful, and not concerned enough with a runaway social emergency that is wounding our society.
At every opportunity—real or not—a bipartisan bloc keeps raising the bar on our public freedoms, fueled by an obsessive hunt for anything resembling antisemitism. From the moment the Daily Telegraph aped in with the leak, the story wasn’t right. The public knowledge of additional ‘antisemitic’ attacks being fabricated by organised crime, and the overt biased responses from both major parties and the media in support of Zionist interests, conflicted with the narratives from law enforcement, and highlighted the extent of the political compromise at play.
The callous, shameless excuses from politicians and journalists—despite the laws remaining in place—reveal that the staged attacks’ cause and effect, using them to rush through draconian laws curbing public expression, was always the intent. With a fully compliant political class eager to stretch itself to shield powerful Zionist narratives, the truth of the attacks seems irrelevant—only the outcome matters. So, is there truly an antisemitism crisis in Australia, or a combined political effort to shift our society towards authoritarianism on behalf of a foreign state?
No one is forgetting how they tried to legislate out Australian public freedoms away on a sniff of an oily rag, nor that the false caravan was a catalyst for this situation. We feel the developing removal of our freedom of speech, our society is divided, our country is in crisis, and it seems much of it is due to a bunch of ‘false flag’ attacks, including a ‘fake terrorism plot’ at the infamous incident in Dural. A bipartisan cohort of reckless elected leaders, backed by a foreign-owned press, made wild claims of mass-casualty antisemitic terror, aiming—and succeeding—to divide our country and exploit the manufactured chaos to force draconian changes to our cherished democratic freedoms. This is a full-blown disaster for public trust in government, an unprecedented assault on the social contract, with fallout that will catch up to those who think they can escape accountability.
More to come. The theory that the "master criminal"mwho organised it was motivated by a desire to gain brownie points by tipping the police off to their own plot is totally implausible. Far more likely that they were paid by a state actor.
Great article. Anyone paying attention knew all of this weeks ago, as it was broadly reported by independent journalists on Substack. As late as 2 days ago news.com.au was still drumming ujp fear over it, with no mention of it being a hoax.
Australia is, quite simply, over. It's not the same country anymore. Go back to pre-1996 Australia and it looks like a paradise: for both our freedoms, our wallets, our independence, and our sanity.
Refuse to vote. Certainly refuse to vote for Labor or the LNP. I refused to even show up for the recent WA state election, I'll pay their extortionate $70. We need tens of millions of Australians to do the same. At a minimum.
