There is only one moral response to the desecration of the beautiful game by trump/Israel and his enablers and that is to boycott all interaction as a fan as an official as a player as an association as a country and as member of the human race.

I thought the same thing but then I realised that those who've paid these corrupt prices aren't now going to boycott the tournament and waste the thousands they've outlaid.

As always happens when money becomes more important than tradition, the 'Greatest Game' has become the big corporate wallet.

Something that was meant to bring the World together has been corrupted beyond repair.

The same thing has happened to the Olympic Games as well.

So very sad.

Trenchant as always. Just reprehensible, the evisceration of what has previously managed, despite monetisation, to still be a salve and communal and joyous.

Great piece. Feels like you have the bones of a great book or documentary series here.

Supposedly adult men chasing a ball around a paddock is mentally retarded. Paying a fortune to watch it ditto. Believing that it amounts to something other than simply chasing a ball around a paddock is delusional. Believing it has some “higher purpose” is sad.
