Great read as usual. I wonder if it's worth investigating the free-to-air rural license thing that Sky has got going. I've just moved from a rural area and there is no doubt Sky has influence because of that. I was in a National Party stronghold.

Other thought I've had is I wonder if the howling at the moon types are not just actors for hire doing the bidding of Murdoch. Egos, celebrity, click bait, outrage. Have they gone too far?

That licence is the frontline of where we are at regarding this situation. Worth a look.

Why did Albo have this secret back room meeting with Lachlan Murdoch at NEWS CORPSE HQ just after the federal election?

After MURDOCH'S were throwing all the shit on Labor ate EVERY ELECTION?

Says a lot for me!

For a year before the federal election, ex LABOR PRIME MINISTER Kevin 07 was on Twitter beating his drum for a Murdoch Royal Commission, several times a day, EVERY DAY.

Then Labor wins the election and from the day after the election, NOT A SINGLE TWEET about the MRC!

NOT ONE!

They led voters on.

AND, in REALITY, it took an INDEPENDENT, Zoe Daniel, to call for one.

I have voted Labor for 46 years, and after THAT, it was my LAST vote for Labor.

Will be voting INDEPENDENTS from here on, because they cannot be BOUGHT like the parties.

Great article Joel was so rapt when Bracksy stuck it up that bully Kennet, classic TV. Media does not understand how many people viscerally dislike Kennett for how he screwed this State and will never forgive him or the LNP. Labor have the imprimatur to undertake a Royal Commision into the Main Stream Media - just do it and take up all the recommendations!

What are they afraid of? A Democracy needs a decent and honest, fearless and frank media. The ABC needs Buttrose, the board, executives, senior editorial leaders and certain presenters purged. Labor must find ways to protect the ABC from future financial and board stacking and other interference from the LNP - why not a constitutional way to protect it as much as possible? Seeing Pliberserk attend a recent Murdoch Party fills me with dread and anger!! Murdochs are pure and utter evil so why suck up to them?

I so fervently hope you are right Joel. Can't wait to see how the Daily Telegraph self-destructs over next year's election here in NSW.

Brilliant - I've been waging war on them in LinkedIn -feeding their toxic consumer content back at their staff and reminding them they are being gaslit by Michael Miller about everything from the BS story he told at the election of their not being 1 news corp and editors being free to reflect the mood of their communities, yet they all, in lock step, defied community and doubled down on their owned asset (ScoMo) and the conservative party and continued their animal farm logic of Labor Bad Liberal Good.

The one they need to be held to task over is the censoring of news during fed election by shelving the ScoMo self appointments story. Contrast this with the Dan Documentary by Credlin and you have a stunning reveal of "we're not a news company, we're a cashed up troll farm masquerading as a media company."

I love holding up their articles like Steve Price bagging AFLW next to the Chairman Michael Millers IWD 2022 post "we're for women" where all the toxmale editors condescended to put women on the cover and pat themselves on the back while pausing their war on woman for like a day. But pretty soon they were back at it, attacking Grace Tame or during Roe V Wade - Rohan the Dean of Doom told his audience that Roe v Wade wasn't about abortion. I played this one back at the staff with their job ad disclaimer "being inclusive". Hah - Chairman has blocked me sometime ago.

Still trying to get to the bottom of the Christopher Dore quick exit. Any NDA's? Yesterdays men using yesterdays tricks on a country that doesn't want to be divided. Imagine if they reported the news and investigate the conservatives, maybe they win back some credability. It's definitely going to be hard to recruit and retain the best crop of the new staff. Australia's home of the patriarchy has lost it's shine.
