Trump’s Gaza redevelopment plan is a techno-feudal dystopian hellscape
And it is coming for everyone soon.
A Trump plan for the redevelopment of Gaza was announced during another week of sensory overload, where you couldn’t sort one piece of critical information from the other. Between the Israeli airstrikes, the historical gathering in China, the Australian-Iran diplomatic row, and U.S. domestic issues, the story of the Gaza Reconstitution Economic Acceleration and Transformation Trust (GREAT Trust) was wedged into a news week that was packed to the rafters.
The plan for the GREAT trust was mused upon by the press in the United States, but in Australia, where journalists seem unwilling, unable, or unwelcome to provide confident objective analysis, the story remained largely untold. If they were able to tell the story, they may have reflected on the dystopian remarkableness of the plan being proposed by the Trump government the United States, and point to the fact that that there is a bleak and unacceptable game within its proposal.
We see thousands of Palestinians run through designated kill zones to pick up bags of opioid laced flour at US-Israeli operated checkpoints designated as kill zones. Around the hunger games, there are drones bombing girls carrying water, and doctors report a pattern of sniper victims being shot in particular limbs on particular days suggesting some kind of game, IDF soldiers film point-of-view footage of them shooting innocent children at random through their scopes while laughing in the background – the gamification of Palestinian death can be easily witnessed. Trump’s plan takes the Squid Game to another level.
Trump’s plan envisions a transformative redevelopment of Gaza into a high-tech and tourism hub under U.S. oversight for at least a decade. In the 38 page blueprint, the key components include a "voluntary" relocation program that proposes the temporary or permanent relocation of Gaza’s approximately 2 million residents. Palestinians looking to leave Gaza would be given $5000USD, four years of rent subsidies, and a year of food subsidies, and will then be herded through "fleece tunnels", where they can buy $50 USD bottles of water. Anyone who chooses to stay will be herded into secure zones, what are termed “hardened structures” within the Gaza strip, where they will stay while ‘reconstruction’ is underway.
Those who will not relocate to the open their slave markets of Libya, war ridden Sudan, or the Lawless and segregated Somalia, will be held in futuristic detention camps where they will be bio-metrically scanned and electronically copied into databases. In a script more akin to ‘Escape from New York’ or ‘Soylent Green’, than a policy in 2025 from a US that claims to be the ‘light on the hill’ in values and virtue, the ‘relocated’ Palestinians will be given a ‘cryptocurrency’, which they can use to purchase food, passage, or boarding in one of the new ‘smart apartments’ marked for the region. They can even sell it to crypto bros for DOGE coin on an exchange. Now the broken people of Gaza can be redeemed in one of the eight futuristic smart cities marked for their home, where a new social experiment will be performed an an entire civilian population, imposing the bleak mechanical prototype of techno-feudalism.
If the people of Gaza have not been through enough, they are now to be tokenised on the blockchain. The depravity of this IRL ‘Squid Game’ en masse seems hard to believe, and early in the piece it is hard to see how it is viable. But in the dark, demented recesses of Trump’s mind, anything is possible, and in the dark, twisted tactics of those who now stand around him, their wildest dreams are just around the corner.
Such an audacious plan, using cutting-edge prototypes, blockchain human management, relocation monitoring, security and governance (predictive policing), and the management of AI powered smart cities, is not a task that can be taken out by just any operator. The tecno-feudal aspects of the GREAT Trust require niche operators with particular skills who can apply scale, and there aren’t many companies that posses that capability. The biggest entity in this space is the notorious and ever powerful market giant – Palantir Technologies, and they would be front and centre to be a potential preferred candidate in any future tendering process.
The Ayn Randists in Silicon Valley are the notable difference in the halls of the Trump 2.0 White House. While Trump drives through the light on the hill with a Mack truck and rolls over the norms and conventions that define the febrile republic, the tech-accelerationists have procured the green lights, the legislation, and the back doors in Washington. Under the cover of the almost comical DOGE program headed by Elon Musk, hundreds of Palantir staff gained access to vital public data on the American population, including social security and healthcare. In six months of Trump Palantir has gained lucrative contracts tracking migrant movements in real time for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and nearly a billion dollars worth of contracts at the US Department of Denense (DoD), and a $10 billion dollar contract for the US Army.
Palantir Technologies share price has exploded under Trump, thanks to a stack of government contracts and an intimate connection to the White House via the tech- accelerationists in Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Alex Karp, and their political project JD Vance. Vance, who is now going by his third name change (formerly James Hamel) has grown from an unknown never-Trumper at a Thiel venture capital firm, to a Senator, to Vice president in just over three years, and his rise to prominence seems as unnatural and as enigmatic as his demeanour, and as jarring as his illiberal ideology. The Vice-President has positioned himself as a more presentable version of the MAGA movement on the surface, but weaves a dystopian prototype with a tech bro twist -- and while Trump has blustered towards friend and foe in an increasingly demented nature - it has been Vance that has started hearkening to the brave new world of his benefactors techno-future with a creepy clarity.
Palantir CEO Alex Karp has made the headlines for some oddly disturbing public appearances. Fidgeting on stage with defiant (sometimes maniacal) grin, responding to a pro-Palestinian protester who was challenging Palantir’s involvement with the IDF in killing Palestinians in Gaza, Karp replied that the Palestinians she mentioned were 'mostly terrorists'. "They need to go to bed scared, they need to wake up scared” was what Karp said of the perceived enemies of his United States at another setting. “Safe means that the other person is scared", he quoth’ed with an entitled tone that suggested we should feel the same. The man who has said things like he wanted to spray critics with lightly fentanyl laced urine sprayed from drones, and that he wants to drone strike his rivals, is essentially a comic book villain, perhaps only eclipsed by his partner.
Peter Thiel Co-Founded Palantir with Karp through a CIA venture capital arm in 2003, was a founding member of PayPal, and has made his name as a politically mobile and ideologically motivated billionaire over the last few decades. Thiel has been no stranger to the talking circuit over the years, straddling what was known as the ‘Intellectual Dark Web’, holding a contradictory techno-philosophy that has seemed to shift with his ambitions, ans a view on humanity that is strange at best, and beyond the pale in its ambiguity.
Thiel is a man who openly speaks of the benefits of ‘parabiosis’, a process of injecting young peoples blood into a host to assist in anti-aging, who has to deny being a vampire at a NYT book conference in 2018, and has a strange onbsession with the Antichrist, a topic he is hosting at a four part talk in California in September. On a recent podcast, Thiel spoke more on the Antichrist, before not being able to answer a question on whether or not he wanted humanity to endure. Quite a shocking and frightening sight to see.
For many years the tech world has appeased a civilian application, and the wacky eccentricities of their ‘visionary’ leaders have been contained within an isolated bubble. But now the tech bites, so do its chipped-shouldered CEO’s - and now bytes of our digital profile are being fused with the cells of our individual being in a burgeoning techno-feudalism. As we become more aware of the totality of the surveillance state, it becomes increasingly too late - the ‘digital panopticon’ has already been built - and its getting hardwired into the sci-fi prisons scoped as ‘smart cities’ in Gaza. American Journalist Whitney Webb writes at length about the full-spectrum digital cage, and its two locked doors: Digital Identity and Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs). Trump’s plan for Gaza is the pre-release for this bleak future intended for the world.
The GREAT Fund stinks of a cruel hubris, smacks of a sloppy and hasty construction, carrying a morbid tackiness that only Trump and the blockchain can offer. Ultimately its an anti-human nightmare that chills to the core, and should worry everyone who should hope that it never succeeds. The digital world is growing from a public utility into a digital noose, and if the scales tip too far into the depravity we see proposed in Gaza, the public ubiquity of technology will change into a public distrust. And if those holding the technological rope continue to drag us into bondage, there may be no other choice than a biological revolution to cut the digital ties that bind. They are turning the remnants of the people of Gaza into what are known as ‘shit coins’ in the world of crypto - and this is the part of the story where humans must check out - because it will not stop in the killing fields of Gaza. It will eventually come for us all.
