I have to point out that not all UK residents fall for our tame politicians' line of following US propaganda. I had a grandfather who fought in WW1 in France, Mesopotamia and Afghanistan. He temporarily became a communist, having realised WWI only benefitted the rich. He subsequently left the Communist Party, but ensured I read Russian literature and history. He made clear to me the Russians importance in the Napoleonic Wars, WW1 and WW11. He also gave me books on the Russian revolution. This resulted in me not thinking the US was the final word on culture and peace but there were other valid ways to live.
My passive government's following US instructions re Ukraine and Palestine shames all right thinking of people. We could have distanced ourselves from American influence decades ago. Thank you both for your calm, rational approach to many of the world's biggest problems. Bless both your endeavours and thanks again.
