Hey Joel, I really enjoyed listening to your conversation with Cameron. I was hoping you might touch on Taiwan, and how it figures into all the bullshit about China. The US is obviously using Taiwan as the pretence for war with China. But how should Australia respond? Will it really matter to our prosperity if China invades - and presumably takes over - Taiwan? Will it matter that the semi-conductors previously manufactured in Taiwan will then be Made in China?
I think we need to start thinking about our own (Australia's) interests and future course through these matters. Whilst a takeover of Taiwan might upset the US, it's really not much of our business as I see it. But it looks like the three monkeys (Albo, Marles and Wong) will see it differently.
