Brilliant piece Joel. I can smell the collusion and corruption on BHP’s breath from the South Island. Michael is a legend and a champion of the underdog. Kia Kaha.

I, for one, cheer every time Michael West Media holds power to account. I mean to say, isn't that what real journalists are meant to do. I don't always agree with some of the things reported on but I'm willing to read & listen to them and at least use my half-a-brain to think things through. Throw them a couple of bucks if you can - https://michaelwest.com.au/support-us/

An important story, Joel. There can (let us hope!!) be no better example of the sheer gutless cowardice and uselessness of our mainstream media. Should the courts rule in favour of BHP, the onus will fall on the federal government to move the goalposts back to where they would create a level playing field. A test of whether this is a Labor government or a faux-Labor one. Recent history tells us that more disappointment awaits.

This authoritarian crushing of dissent to imperialist Neoliberalism is not just LNP, but also ONP, and ALP. That's a substantial part of the reason for the formation of The Greens, which since inception has been not just pro-ecology, but also pro-human rights, and pro-social democrat. Bully corporations like BHP, and their LNP/ALP/ONP backers deserve BDS . All power & justice to the peace makers & truth tellers, and those journos who represent us well!
